Today marks another year because you left us, and the pain of your absence feels as fresh as ever. The planet continues to move forward, but there is a space in my heart that point cannot fill. I often find myself taking into consideration the little moments — your laughter, your advice, your comforting presence. They return to me in waves, uninvited yet always welcome. Your memory has become a Element of my everyday life, woven into everything I do, and while I can no longer touch base and hold your hand, I carry you with me in ways I never imagined possible.
Your death anniversary reminds me not just of the grief we felt the afternoon you left but also of the beautiful life you lived. You were a way to obtain strength and warmth, somebody who made life better simply by being in it.
