Snapchat’s Best Friends list is automatically generated based on how often you interact with other users, primarily through sending Snaps, maintaining streaks, chatting, and viewing each other’s Stories. The more frequent and mutual the interaction, the higher someone appears on your list. You can have up to 8 Best Friends, and while you can’t manually add or remove anyone, consistent communication can influence who appears. Snapchat also uses emojis to represent different levels of friendship, such as your #1 Best Friend or longtime mutual top friends. Only you can see your list, though Snapchat+ users get access to extended rankings using a solar system metaphor.
