I flew out of Santo Domingo last week for a quick trip to Florida. The Southwest Airlines SDQ Terminal impressed me right from the start with its cleanliness and efficient layout. I checked in using a self-service kiosk, which was fast and simple. Staff were nearby to help if needed and showed great professionalism. Security moved at a good pace, and the staff maintained a calm and respectful environment. Once inside, I noticed the terminal was very modern, with clear signage and plenty of amenities for travelers. There were multiple seating zones, clean restrooms, and outlets available for charging devices. I stopped at a café for a light snack and was surprised by the variety of food options. Boarding announcements were loud and clear, and gate agents followed the group boarding process strictly, which kept things orderly. The staff managed the boarding area with friendliness and efficiency, even with a large crowd. The whole terminal felt organized, well-kept, and perfectly designed for international travelers. It’s refreshing to see this level of quality on a budget airline route. I’ll definitely choose this terminal again for future Southwest flights from Santo Domingo.
