World is the third planet from the Sun and the only identified place in the universe where life exists. Usually known as the "Orange Planet" because around 70% of its area is included in water, Earth is a remarkable world filled with diverse landscapes, areas, and ecosystems. From imposing mountain ranges to deep water trenches, Earth supports an amazing number of life forms, including humans, who have developed civilizations across its continents.
Beneath its floor, Planet is composed of many layers. The outermost layer, called the crust, includes both area we live on and the ocean floor. Beneath that lies the mantle, a heavy layer of slowly flowing rock. Deeper still is the external core, made of molten metal that creates Earth's magnetic subject, and at the center could be the strong internal primary, composed generally of iron and nickel. Surrounding the world may be the environment, a protective coating of gases—primarily nitrogen and oxygen—that helps life, gives capable air, shields people from harmful radiation, and assists control temperature.
