Each year, the ONS collects yearly birth registration data and ranks first names according to frequency (popularity) as well as dividing by sex. The yearly ‘top 100’ and ‘top 10’ lists for baby boy names and baby girl names offer insight and guidance into naming trends and fashions - ideal if you’re looking for a cute baby boy name for your newborn.
The ONS figures for 2022 were released recently, in May 2024, and we’ve taken some of the cutest names for baby boys from the ONS’s top 100 list.
