Women empowerment has become a defining factor in India’s evolving real estate landscape, and leaders like Dr Niranjan Hiranandani are driving this transformation. At the 4th NAREDCO-MAHI convention, discussions highlighted how greater participation of women in real estate can reduce fraud, improve transparency, and even bring down civil disputes. Delhi’s PWD Minister Parvesh Verma emphasized that women have the capability to excel in every sector, and real estate should be no exception. With cases of mis-selling and false promises affecting buyers, women’s entry into the sector is seen as a path to restoring trust and accountability.

Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman of NAREDCO, further underlined that skilling is the cornerstone of women empowerment in real estate. As real estate is India’s second-largest employment generator, bridging the skills gap with women talent will not only create more job opportunities but also accelerate economic growth. He pointed out that skilled women professionals can help fulfill the vision of tripling the size of the economy by contributing to housing, infrastructure, and sustainable urban development.

Additionally, industry voices like Smita Patil and D Thara stressed the role of women in shaping future housing with inclusive policies, sustainable practices, and integrated infrastructure.
