A wireless POS is a point-of-sale system that uses wireless connectivity instead of being tied down by wired terminals. Instead of having payment terminals, registers, printers etc. connected by cables (Ethernet or phone line), wireless POS setups work via Wi-Fi, cellular data (3G/4G/5G), Bluetooth, or mixed connectivity. Sometimes they use tablets or mobile devices as front-end terminals.
