When you notice a yellow light on your Linksys Velop, it indicates that your node is either not receiving a slow internet connection or its internet connection is lost. The Linksys Velop yellow light issue is usually caused by the wrong placement, outdated firmware, or temporary network instabilities.
To eliminate the problem, first, confirm your internet connection status on the primary node. The Ethernet cable that connects to your modem should be properly attached. Then, bring the Velop nodes nearer to one another to give the Wi-Fi signal a boost. Additionally, a modem and router restart can be the old-fashioned way of refreshing the network.
In case the yellow light doesn't go away, try updating the Linksys app or the Velop firmware to the latest version. Sometimes, the problem of not being able to connect could be due to the software being outdated.
If nothing else works, reset Linksys Velop as a last resort. For this, press and hold the reset button on the node for approximately 10 seconds or until the LED changes to red. After that, use the Linksys app to set your system up again.
By implementing these measures, you would instantly resolve the Linksys Velop yellow light issue and make sure that internet connectivity is uninterrupted all the way through your nodes. You can also avoid this issue in the future simply by placing it correctly and doing regular maintenance.
